  • 1 pinch taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chili flake
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 pcs garlic
  • 1 tsp chipotle paste
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • mozzarella cheese

Sauce

  • mayonnaise
  • ketchup
  • mustard honey
  • chipotle paste
  • bbq sauce
  • lemon juice

Fresh Salsa

  • tomato
  • onion
  • cilantro
  • rice vinegar
  • lime juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Finely chop the onion and garlic.

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces, until browned.

  3. 3

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened (about 5-7 minutes).

  4. 4

Mix in tomato paste, garlic, spices (taco seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, chili flakes, cayenne pepper), and optionally chipotle paste. Cook for a minute until the spices release their aroma.

  5. 5

Pour in water and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for about 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens. If you want the sauce to be thicker, you can add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch dissolved in a little water.

  6. 6

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. 7

Heat a second skillet or deep fryer with vegetable oil.

  8. 8

Warm the tortillas on a dry skillet or in the microwave until pliable.

  9. 9

On a heated tortilla, place a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by a portion of the prepared meat.

  10. 10

Fold the tortilla in half, creating a taco. Fry in hot oil on both sides until the tortilla is golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted (about 2-3 minutes per side).

  11. 11

Drain the tacos of excess oil on a paper towel.

Sauce

  1. 1

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, honey mustard, chipotle paste, BBQ sauce, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Fresh Salsa

  1. 1

Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, and cilantro. Mix in a bowl. Add rice vinegar, lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix and set aside for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 2

Serve the crispy beef tacos with fresh sauce and salsa.
