Ingredients
- 1 pcs rice
- 4 pcs shiitake mushroom
- 1 pcs potato
- 2 pcs tomato
- 2 pcs dried tofu
- 1 pcs ham sausage
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp five spice powder
- water
Instructions
- 1
Begin by preparing your shiitake mushrooms and tofu, ensuring they are cut into small, manageable pieces. Do the same for your potatoes, dicing them appropriately, and then slice your tomatoes.
- 2
Rinse your rice thoroughly under cold water, then transfer it to your cooking pot, spreading it out evenly to form a flat base.
- 3
Arrange the sliced tomatoes in a circular pattern around the perimeter of the rice. Then, layer the remaining prepared vegetables (mushrooms, potatoes, dried tofu) over the rice, alternating layers as desired until all are incorporated.
- 4
Season generously with salt, dark soy sauce, and five-spice powder. Drizzle with oil and add water, adjusting the quantity based on your preferred rice consistency (less for drier, more for softer).
- 5
Place the pot over medium heat and allow it to simmer gently for approximately 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. Once cooked, feel free to add your favorite toppings such as sliced ham sausage or a dollop of chili sauce before serving.
