Ingredients

  • 1 pcs rice — for one person
  • 4 pcs shiitake mushroom
  • 1 pcs potato
  • 2 pcs tomato
  • 2 pcs dried tofu
  • 1 pcs ham sausage
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp five spice powder

Instructions

  1. 1

Dice the dried shiitake mushrooms and tofu into small cubes.

  2. 2

Dice the potatoes into small cubes, and chop the tomatoes.

  3. 3

Wash the rice, pour it into a pot, and spread it evenly.

  4. 4

Arrange the tomatoes in a circle around the rice, and mix the remaining vegetables on top of the rice (a layer of mushrooms, a layer of potatoes, a layer of dried tofu, and so on) and spread evenly. Add salt, dark soy sauce, oil, five-spice powder, etc.

  5. 5

Turn on the heat and braise for about 20 minutes. Similar to steamed rice, you can add less water for drier rice and more water for softer rice. I like it softer. After removing from the pot, you can add ham sausage, chili sauce, etc.
