Ingredients

  • 400 g penne pasta
  • 600 g chicken breast
  • 300 g broccoli
  • 400 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g grated parmesan
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 3 pcs garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil

Instructions

    Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain and set aside.

    Cut chicken into strips, season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook chicken over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.

    Add chopped onion to the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

    Add garlic and cook for one minute, then pour in heavy cream and add butter.

    Add parmesan cheese, stir and cook over low heat for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens.

    Meanwhile, steam broccoli for 4-5 minutes until tender.

    Add cooked pasta and broccoli to the sauce, gently mix together.

    Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with fresh basil before serving.
