Ingredients

  • 250 g red cabbage
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 pcs carrot
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp cane sugar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp finely chopped chili
  • 1 tbsp chopped chive
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seed

Instructions

  1. 1

Remove the outer, dried leaves from the cabbage, then shred it very finely on a cutting board, trying to get the thinnest strips possible. Discard the core and any fibrous pieces. Measure out about 250 g of shredded cabbage.

  2. 2

Transfer the shredded cabbage to a bowl and add the peeled carrot, grated on a grater. Then, pour in the fish sauce and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

  3. 3

Add the remaining ingredients from the recipe to the mixture: lime juice, cane sugar, ginger, hot sriracha sauce, and peanut butter (if desired).

  4. 4

Mix everything together carefully. You can enrich the slaw by adding chopped chili, chives, and toasted sesame seeds. This combination goes perfectly with oriental dishes.
