Chicken in Dill Sauce with Potatoes
vxdaA traditional Polish dinner featuring juicy chicken braised in aromatic dill sauce. Tender meat in creamy sauce with fresh dill pairs perfectly with steamed potatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken
- 800 g potato
- 1 pcs onion
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp wheat flour
- 400 ml chicken broth
- 1 pcs fresh dill
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 pcs bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch black pepper

Wash and dry the chicken, then cut into portions. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a skillet and brown the chicken pieces on both sides until golden. Transfer to a pot.

In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until soft.

Add flour to the onion, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Gradually pour in the broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Add cream, mix well and season with salt and pepper.

Pour the sauce over the chicken, add bay leaf and braise covered for 25 minutes.

Peel and wash the potatoes, then cook in salted water for about 20 minutes.

At the end of cooking, add chopped dill to the sauce and mix.

Serve hot with boiled potatoes.
