Chicken in Onion Sauce with Potatoes
vxdaJuicy chicken braised in aromatic onion sauce, served with roasted potatoes. A simple, hearty dish perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients
- 8 pcs chicken thigh
- 800 g potato
- 3 pcs onion
- 400 ml chicken broth
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp wheat flour
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 2 pcs bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 50 ml water

Wash and dry the chicken thighs, season with salt and pepper.

Peel the potatoes and cut into medium pieces.

Peel the onion and slice into half-moons.

Heat oil in a pan and brown the thighs on both sides for about 5 minutes.

Transfer the chicken to a pot, add the sliced onion.

Pour in the broth, add bay leaf and marjoram.

Braise covered over low heat for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, arrange potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and season.

Bake potatoes at 200°C for 25-30 minutes until golden.

At the end of braising the chicken, mix flour with water and pour into the sauce.

Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
