Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 pcs onion
  • 2 pcs garlic clove
  • 150 g smoked bacon
  • 400 g sausage — Use hard sausage, not frankfurters
  • 500 ml broth
  • 3 pcs potato
  • 2 tsp marjoram
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 pcs red bell pepper
  • 300 g zucchini
  • cup tomato passata
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Pour the oil into a large, wide-bottomed pot (preferably thick-bottomed). Add the peeled and diced onion, then sauté it briefly.

  2. 2

Add the diced bacon and fry, stirring regularly, over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the onion becomes translucent and the bacon begins to brown. Add the crushed garlic and sauté for another moment.

  3. 3

Add the peeled and finely diced potatoes, mix, and fry together for a moment.

  4. 4

Add the zucchini cut into larger cubes and the bell pepper cut into larger strips.

  5. 5

Season with marjoram, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix and fry together briefly.

  6. 6

Add the sausage, sliced (peel if necessary).

  7. 7

Add the fish sauce and pour in hot broth, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

  8. 8

Pour in the passata, mix, and cook for about 2 minutes.
